How does OSOPS work?
OSOPS organises the weekly attendance of either an Osteopath or Physiotherapist at your company. Treatment is by appointment only and is organised on site by a representative of the company. Attendance of a therapist is either a half or full day and takes into account the number of employees. Workplace assessments are an important factor in rehabilitation, and time may also be scheduled for this. The employer will provide a suitable room for treatment which is large enough for a treatment couch and must be private.

Costs to the Company
An initial fee of £800 is payable and includes the purchase of a treatment couch and all administrative costs.
The fee for treatment is £40 per employee. This can either be covered by the relevant medical insurance organisation or in full by the employer or part/fully covered by the employee.

What will it save your Company?
Government reports have proved that early treatment of musculoskeletal disorders such as backache can lead to a marked reduction in the healing time.

Typically the time required for an untreated injury to heal can be accelerated considerably leading to a significant saving of the 3 million pounds that is lost per 1000 employees annually (1,2).

Osteopathy and Physiotherapy are Primary Care Health treatments so that a GP visit is not usually required for musculoskeletal disorders. This saves further time.
